Isuzu Motors India opens a new dealership in Pune

As part of its network expansion drive, Isuzu Motors India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors, Japan, one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers and a leader in pick-up trucks, inaugurated a new dealership “VIIRAAJ ISUZU” in Pune. The new 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility is conveniently located at Mahalaxmi Icon, Mumbai – Bangalore Bye-pass, Tathawade, Mulshi, Pune. The new facility adds to the network of dealerships in Maharashtra already operational in Navi Mumbai and Nagpur.

ISUZU has also tied-up with ‘DC Design’ to offer ‘customised luxury’ to customers. The customisation focusses on a host of features on the interiors covering the dashboard, centre console and seats to give its occupants a feel of sophistication that would make them exclusive. DC Design would offer these packages to MU-7 owners and the modifications can be made at ‘DC Design’ facilities located at Mumbai, Delhi and Pune.

ISUZU began civil works on its proposed manufacturing plant site in SriCity, TADA, Chitoor District, Andhra Pradesh, in January 2014. The company had acquired 107 Acres of land in 2013 after signing a MoU with the Andhra Pradesh State Government in order to start automobile manufacturing operation in India. This new facility is likely to commence commercial operations by early 2016, with the initial production capacity at 50,000 units/ year. Isuzu will scale up the production capacity to 120,000 units/year, with the accumulated investment of Rs. 3,000 Crore, and is expected to generate 2000 – 3000 jobs. The company has plans to set up more dealership outlets across the country and aims to have 160 by 2020.
