Isuzu Motors India expands its reach in Gujarat

Isuzu Motors India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors, Japan, one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers and a leader in pick-up trucks, today inaugurated its second dealership outlet of Gujarat in Rajkot, thus widening its reach in the state. The new dealership – Torque ISUZU, is conveniently located at the Torque ISUZU, Plot No. 64, Near Kishan Petrol Pump, Kangshiali, Gondal Highway, Rajkot, to offer best-in-class sales and service for Isuzu customers. The company inaugurated its first outlet of the dealership in Ahmedabad, yesterday.

A completely new concept in India, the new D-MAX Space Cab’s unique feature is its extended cabin space of 1.5 feet behind the drivers’ seat, which can store valuable/ fragile goods. The Isuzu D-Max has been winning several awards globally and has begun the trend in India. The Isuzu D-MAX was awarded the prestigious Apollo-CV awards for the ‘Pick-up of the year’ category in an event held in Mumbai this week.


The MU-7 inherits Isuzu’s diesel-engine expertise and is endowed with superior fuel efficiency and outstanding engine performance. A 3-metre wheel-base makes the MU-7 one of the longest SUVs available in India, offering luxurious and spacious interiors.


The MU-7 BSIV is priced from Rs.21.48 lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Rajkot) and the D-MAX range is priced from Rs.6.54 lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Rajkot).


Isuzu has plans to open 60 outlets across India by end of 2015-16. Isuzu will scale up the production capacity to 120,000 units/ year, with the accumulated investment of Rs. 3,000 Crore, and is expected to generate 2000 – 3000 jobs. The company has plans to open 60 dealership outlets across the country by 2016 and aims to have 160 by 2020.
