Isuzu Motors bags a significant order for its premium SUV MU-7

Isuzu MU-7, a large-sized SUV, known for its luxurious space and comfort has received a significant order from Ramesh Tours & Travels (RTT), a Bangalore based travel operator. The first 12 of 25 vehicles has already been delivered to the customer who will be offering these to JW Marriot hotel to ferry their guests who demand a high level of comfort and a spacious vehicle.

 

Speaking about the order, Mr. Shigeru Wakabayashi, Deputy Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, “MU-7 has been gaining interest in the market due to the sheer space and comfort it offers to our customers. We are witnessing exceptional response for this premium SUV from individuals and business owners in the country. The MU-7 is a large-sized SUV that offers great space and comfort in its category. The Isuzu MU-7 is targeted towards Premium SUV customers whose key buying factors include – Brand image, Comfort, Style & Space.

 

The MU-7 has dynamic-front looks and dominating road presence and an overall bold and aggressive design. The MU7 has longest wheelbase in its category which offers the best in class leg room which is best suited for long drives and ensure fatigue-free driving experience. The MU-7 comes with a 3-Litre intercooled VGS turbocharged diesel engine which is powered by Isuzu Diesel Engine technology. The MU-7 body & chassis is designed for tough & rugged usage. The body is designed with special steel to have good rigidity. The dual SRS airbags offers greater safety for the occupants.

Isuzu will scale up the production capacity to 120,000 units/ year, with the accumulated investment of Rs. 3,000 Crore, and is expected to generate 2000 – 3000 jobs. The company has plans to open 60 dealership outlets across the country by 2016 and aims to have 160 by 2020.
