It has come to the notice of Isuzu Motors India Private Limited (IMI) that some unscrupulous individuals are misrepresenting themselves as IMI Employees / Authorised Representatives / Agents and offering to sell “Isuzu Roadside Assistance Package and Related Services” to owners of IMI Manufactured / Isuzu brand vehicles.
These imposters contact unsuspecting customers either over phone call or through phone messaging or email and introduce themselves as either IMI Employee / Authorised Representative / Agent and request Personal Information of the Customer and/or Transfer of Money on the pretext of offering and/or selling ‘Isuzu Roadside Assistance Package and Related Services in case of an unfortunate situation of vehicle breakdown’. The unsuspecting customers are lured into their trap.
Our esteemed customers and public may kindly note that IMI and/or Isuzu has not authorised any of its Employees to make such calls. Further, IMI and/or Isuzu has not appointed any Representative or Agent to either offer and/or sell any kind of ‘Roadside Assistance Package or any such Related Services’.
Our esteemed customers and public may also note that all IMI manufactured vehicles (both Commercial and Passenger) automatically get RSA (Roadside Support Assistance) Package for 3 (three) years from the date of the purchase of the vehicle from any of our authorised dealers. The RSA Package gives the details of the procedure to be followed in the event of any unforeseen Vehicle breakdown during the coverage period. Please note this coverage doesn’t include any breakdown due to accident.
Customers and Public may also note that any email from the fraudsters may most likely be sent from a fake email address or from a free email provider such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Outlook, etc., and not from an official IMI/Isuzu email address. Please take extra caution while examining such an email address, as the perpetrators may misspell an official IMI email address and use a slightly modified version of an official IMI email address.
IMI has initiated appropriate legal action against these fraudulent persons. Further, you are requested to immediately get in touch with IMI via email at isuzucare@isuzu-india.com upon receiving any suspicious offer and additionally notify the police or other competent authority with a copy to IMI. Further, please do not share any of your personal data (including details of any of your ID or Date of Birth) to any unknown or unauthorized persons since there are possibilities of the same being misused.
